The participations of 48 artists from
China, Canada, South Korea and the United States in One World international
print exhibition, is a true reflection of the Olympic ideas of promoting
international exchange and cultural diversity. |

| Olympic-themed pieces by Chinese artists are
the highlights of the exhibit. Zhou Jirong's "Bird's Nest"
has impressed many of viewers. It depicts the illusion of a giant bird
flying past China's newly built National Stadium, an Olympic venue nicknamed
the Bird's Nest for its giant twig-like structure.
"We call the giant bird 'peng' in Chinese which in legends would travel three thousand li (Chinese miles) in one flap of its wings," Zhou said. "While our country has been taking hold of the wings of the Olympics to develop and grow, the image of peng well symbolizes this ambition and great achievement |

Artist Zhou JiRong from the
CAFA and Artistic Director of China Print Art Online, Mr.Tony Chang
has created a special silkscreen print for this show; On the opening
reception, guests and visitors collaborated with artists creating
this One World print together.

Officials
from Canada embassy, US embassy and Korean Cultural
Center participated the event, Chinese & Canadian artists
as well as journalists (Beijing TV station, China Daily, China
International Radio and Beijing Youth etc.) and print art lovers
also attended the event with great enthusiasm. |
