in Taiwan's modernism print movement. Under his influence, printmakers
groups such as ShiQing (a group of 10 printmakers including artists

promoting printmaking in the past 30 years, making Taiwan a world
leader in printmaking innovation. In the 1990s, Liao ShiouPing
was active in mainland China, educating the Chinese artists with
his modernist vision, spreading advanced techniques on etching,
lithography and silkscreen in his workshops, which attracted the
faculty members of major Chinese fine art academies (such as prominent
artists Su Xinping, now head of Printmaking Dept. in Central Academy).
Liao's contribution help nourish the maturation of China's print
art.
Grace of Printmaking exhibition represents the splendid
achievements of print art in the mainland and Taiwan, reflecting
diverse social landscapes: Taiwan artists exhibit stunning freshness
in their innovative works, while mainland printmakers depict deep
